Milestone Moment: Eddie Fiske Jr. Scores 1,000th Point
Fiske joins an elite group of players to achieve the milestone before the end of their high school careers – and he did it as a junior.

LYME-OLD LYME, CT – Prolific Lyme-Old Lyme scorer Eddie Fiske Jr. reached the 1,000-point milestone against Morgan as the Wildcats remained undefeated in the Shoreline Conference on Friday.
Fiske became one of the rare players to score 1,000 career points as a junior, an achievement few players ever reach – even by the end of their high school careers. He found success early, earning all-conference and all-state honors in his freshman year and helping lead the team to a Division V championship victory as a sophomore, according to his MaxPreps athletic profile.
Fiske scored 21 points in Friday’s 74-43 win over Morgan. Colman Curtiss-Reardon also scored 21 points. The team stands 8-1 overall and 7-0 in conference play.
The boys will travel to North Branford on Jan. 20 for a 7 p.m. game.
On the girls side, it was a challenging end to a week marked by losses to Morgan and East Hampton. The Wildcats fell 72-26 to Morgan on Friday and 48-21 to East Hampton on Wednesday.
Sybil Neary led Old Lyme with 10 points against Morgan and seven points versus East Hampton. Lily Reynolds scored six points against East Hampton, while Reagan Christopher added six. Coach Christine Corah said the games provided valuable minutes against strong competition, with all players seeing action.
The girls next play North Branford at home on Tuesday.
