Lyme-Old Lyme Boys Basketball Team Earns Back-to-Back Wins This Week

The Lyme-Old Lyme High School boys basketball team this week extended its undefeated streak to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

Girls Show Promise in Early Season Showdown

LYME/OLD LYME – The Lyme-Old Lyme High School boys basketball team this week extended its undefeated streak to 3-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play.

On Dec. 22, the Wildcats beat the Coginchaug Blue Devils 77-24. Edward Fiske led the way with 20 points, followed by Colman Curtiss-Reardon with 16 and Ethan Trepanier with 11. 

The next day, Old Lyme faced Griswold High School at Mohegan Sun Casino. The Wildcats came out on top in a 64-58 win, with 30 points from Fiske and 16 from Curtiss-Reardon. 

Lyme-Old Lyme’s next game will be at noon on Dec. 30 in Old Saybrook. 

Also on Dec. 22, the Lyme-Old Lyme girls basketball team lost to Coginchaug 28-24. 

Sybil Neary scored 8 points, Lily Reynolds and Reagan Christopher each scored 6 points, and Jillian Kleefeld and Vicky Glaras each scored 2 points. Coach Christine Corah said Viv Boller contributed strong defensive play despite not scoring.

They next play Old Saybrook on Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. 

The girls are 0‑3 overall and 0‑2 in conference play.
