Flanders Baptist and Community Church Presents ‘It Came Upon a Midnight Clear,’ Saturday
The concert will feature soprano Teresa Eickel, joined by pianist David Marotollo, oboist Jane Murray, and flutist Susan Skogerboe performing Christmas carols, sacred oratorios, and classical masterpieces celebrating the birth of Christ.
EAST LYME, CT — On Saturday, Dec. 6 at 4 p.m, Flanders Baptist and Community Church will present It Came Upon a Midnight Clear: A Christmas Concert.
The concert will feature soprano Teresa Eickel, joined by pianist David Marotollo, oboist Jane Murray, and flutist Susan Skogerboe. The ensemble will perform Christmas carols, sacred oratorios, and classical masterpieces celebrating the birth of Christ.
Eickel has performed with opera companies including Memphis Opera, Sacramento Opera, Boheme Opera and Opera Fairbanks, with leading roles in Madama Butterfly, La Bohème, and Don Giovanni.
The event is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be collected to support the church’s special events.
Families are welcome, with a special event for children taking place in the Dining Hall during the concert.
Flanders Baptist and Community Church is located at 162 Boston Post Road, East Lyme.
