Coffee’s pumpkin lasagna shared top billing with an autumn focaccia from Lou Castanho of Pasta Vita, according to an I-Park press release. The Oct. 25 benefit brought together regional chefs, brewmasters and vintners to support I-Park’s international artists-in-residence program.

The event included Sayulita, Marker 37, Coffees Country Market, Pasta Vita, Cooked, On The Rocks, Gelston House, Concentric Brewing Company, Sunset Hills Vineyard and Priam Vineyard.

Open Studios

On Sunday, Nov. 23 from 1 to 4 p.m., I-Park invites the public to its free Open Studios event as the residency season for artists winds down.

Visitors to I-Park, a not-for-profit, international, multi-disciplinary artists’ colony set within a 450-acre nature preserve in East Haddam, will have the opportunity to meet artists from Ghana, Australia, Germany and Denmark in their studios from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Presentations and refreshments will follow.

This season’s residency brings together composers Kerrith Livengood and Giordano Bruno do Nascimento, landscape designer Cynthia Hron, writer Jennifer Down and visual artists Jette Mellgren, Linda Ganjian and Frederick Bamfo.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore their studios and creative works-in-progress, as well as new artworks on the grounds.

Due to the fragility of the artworks and the natural features at I-Park, pets are not permitted on the grounds. Only part of our campus is wheelchair accessible at this time. Those with accessibility questions should call 860-873-2468.

Registration for the free event is requested at i-park.org. For more information, email events@i-park.org or call 860-873-2468.
