Editor’s Note: Several readers have contacted us to point out politely (thank you!) that we had previously announced we would publish letters (related to the election) received up to midnight tonight, rather than last night as announced in the article we published early this morning. We apologize for our error and, of course, will adhere to our previously announced deadline. We have corrected the article below to reflect this change.
Lyme and Old Lyme voters go to the polls Tuesday to elect a variety of town government positions.
We have published all the Letters to the Editor that we had received by midnight Saturday in our Letters section today. To assist our readers, we have re-published the responses we received from the Old Lyme Board of Selectmen and the Region 18 Board of Education candidates on our home page.
We have also published/re-published two letters and two Op-Eds on our home page, which represent opposing points of view.
We will publish any Letters to the Editor received Sunday through midnight tonight. We will not publish any further Letters to the Editor or Op-Ed’s tomorrow (Monday) unless they refer directly to a letter or Op-Ed already published.
Polling stations open at 6 a.m. on Tuesday and close at 8 p.m. Lyme residents cast their votes at the Lyme Town Hall while Old Lyme residents should go to the Cross Lane Firehouse.
We will publish the results here on LymeLine.com shortly after their announcement.
