Charter Oak Descendent Tree Planting

The Old Lyme Tree Commission, which has been nurturing a descendent seedling from Hartford’s legendary Charter Oak, will plant it on the South Green in a Friday ceremony.
The planting is being held in recognition of the nation’s semiquincentennial, according to the Old Lyme America 250 Committee.
South Green is located near the intersection of Lyme Street and McCurdy Road.
