Discover the New LymeLine: Inspired by the Past, Ready for the Future

Images from photographer James Meehan’s “Earthscapes” series have been worked into LymeLine’s new website design to showcase the views that make Lyme and Old Lyme a destination and a place to call home. Photographs like ‘Morning Glow,’ seen here, will rotate with the seasons.

Welcome to our newly-redesigned website and a revitalized LymeLine, your online community news source for more than 20 years!  Under the stewardship of longtime editor Olwen Logan and her husband Nigel, LymeLine has remained an invaluable source of news and information for the towns of Lyme and Old Lyme.

On Nov. 17, 2025, Olwen and Nigel generously donated the community news site to LymeLine Inc., a newly-created nonstock, nonprofit corporation exempt from income taxes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Members from the Lyme and Old Lyme communities formed LymeLine Inc. to continue the tradition of honest, accurate, nonpartisan reporting of news, information and events of interest to our two towns. Under my editorial leadership, and with support from our board of directors and advisory board, we will operate with transparency and increase our coverage of local news, information and events. We invite your participation to keep the paper robust, relevant and vital to the community and welcome your suggestions for additional news coverage of importance to our communities.

Like Olwen and Nigel, we believe that LymeLine is important to the residents of Lyme and Old Lyme and that, with your financial support, it will remain available to you without charge or paywall. While LymeLine Inc. received generous start-up funding from members of its board of directors and advisory board, and revenues from advertising cover a fraction of our expenses, most of our operating budget must come from charitable contributions.

With your assistance, LymeLine will continue to provide a vital source of news and information to our towns without charge. Please do your best to sustain our operations by making a tax-exempt contribution securely online, or by sending a check to LymeLine Inc., P.O. Box 1031, 12 Halls Road, Old Lyme, CT 06371.

Thank you very much for your readership and continued support of LymeLine.
