Celebration of Life for Alison C. Mitchell to be Held Saturday at Old Lyme Historical Society
The Old Lyme Historical Society invites the community to share memories of Mitchell, a founding member who oversaw the archives now named in her honor.
OLD LYME, CT – The Old Lyme Historical Society will host a Celebration of Life for Alison Carter Mitchell on Saturday, April 11, from 3 to 5 p.m. at 55 Lyme Street.
Mitchell died on Jan. 28 in Mystic. She was 93.
A founding member of the Historical Society, Mitchell helped establish its publishing program, supported the acquisition of the former Grange building and oversaw the archives now named in her honor.
Attendees are welcome to share memories and reflections. Donations in Alison’s memory may be made at www.oldlymehistorical.org.
