Ready for a Bargain? White Elephant Sale Opens Friday
From antiques and artwork to books, furniture and collectibles, the 88th Annual White Elephant Sale promises two days of treasure hunting while supporting dozens of charitable causes.

OLD LYME, CT – One of Old Lyme’s most beloved summer traditions returns this weekend when the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme hosts its 88th Annual White Elephant Sale.
The sale draws bargain hunters, collectors and casual thrifters from across the region in search of hidden treasures and one-of-a-kind finds. Veteran shoppers know to arrive early, with crowds lining up before opening time on Friday morning for first crack at the thousands of donated items spread across the church grounds.
Sale hours are Friday, July 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday, July 11, from 8 a.m. to noon at the church, 2 Ferry Road.
Don’t miss the chance to browse antiques, artwork and collectibles to books, furniture, jewelry, sporting goods, tools, toys and household items. Saturday shoppers can often score even bigger bargains, as many remaining items are traditionally offered at half price.
Organized by the church’s Benevolent Society, the annual event raises funds for church ministries and more than 25 charitable organizations serving communities locally and around the world.
The sale will be held rain or shine.
