Musical Masterworks Closes 35th Season in Old Lyme with Violinist Julia Schilz, April 25 & 26
Musical Masterworks concludes the season with violinist Julia Schilz, 2025 Klein Competition winner, and acclaimed artists in chamber music.

OLD LYME, CT – Musical Masterworks concludes its 35th season with a weekend of chamber music featuring violinist Julia Schilz, winner of the 2025 Irving M. Klein International Strings Competition.
The program takes place Saturday, April 25, at 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 26, at 3 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme on the corner of Lyme Street and Ferry Road.
Schilz will perform alongside acclaimed violinist Tessa Lark, cellist Alice Yoo, violist Nicholas Cords and pianist Jeewon Park.
The program includes Still’s Suite for Violin and Piano, Florence Price’s Piano Quintet in A minor, and Dvořák’s Piano Quintet No. 2 in A Major, Op. 81.
The program “bridges tradition and discovery,” according to Lark.
“Julia Schilz is an exceptional young artist, and this repertoire highlights both her voice and the incredible depth of this ensemble,” Lark said.
