From Sunrise to Sanctuary: Various Easter Celebrations Planned Across Lyme and Old Lyme

Spanning a shoreline sunrise service to traditional worship and Easter egg hunts, churches in Lyme and Old Lyme offer many ways to celebrate Easter weekend.

LYME/OLD LYME, CT – Area churches will observe Easter weekend with a range of services and celebrations.

All are welcome to an Easter Sunrise Service hosted at Griswold Point in Old Lyme by the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme. The service will be held Sunday at 6:15 a.m. Click here for directions or call (860) 434-8686.

Christ The King Church, 1 McCurdy Road, Old Lyme, will host an Easter Vigil on Saturday at 8 p.m.  Masses will be held Sunday at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. All services are livestreamed

First Congregational Church of Old Lyme, 2 Ferry Road, will host worship services Sunday at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Childcare will be provided at the 9 a.m. service, with an Easter egg hunt to follow in the Friendship Garden at 10 a.m. 

First Congregational Church of Lyme, 1 Sterling City Road, will celebrate Easter Sunday at its regular 10 a.m. service time, with an Easter egg hunt following. 

Saint Ann’s Episcopal Church, 82 Shore Road, Old Lyme, will host Festival Eucharist Rite 2 with full choir on Sunday at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.
