Old Lyme Town Band, High School Wind Ensemble to Perform Friday

The bands will combine for a free concert featuring fan favorites and guest-conductor Anthony Susi’s own ‘Jubilee March.’

OLD LYME, CT – On Friday, March 13, at 7 p.m. in the Lyme-Old Lyme High School auditorium, the 50-member Old Lyme Town Band and the Lyme-Old Lyme High School Wind Ensemble will perform a joint concert.

Admission is free.

The Town Band, led by conductor Richard Chiappetta and now in its 51st year, opens with the Star-Spangled Banner and selections including Shaker Variants, Mt. Everest and Homeward Bound

The high school ensemble is conducted by Jay Wilson. 

Composer Anthony Susi will guest-conduct his American School Band Directors Association Jubilee March, following his April debut of Impressions of Old Lyme at the Town Band’s 50th-anniversary concert.

After the Wind Ensemble’s set, both groups will combine for 76 Trombones and Imaginarium
