Lyme-Old Lyme Boys Basketball Beats Hale-Ray as Girls Battle Short-Handed

Eddie Fiske Jr. and Ethan Trepanier scored 17 points each as Lyme-Old Lyme defeated Hale-Ray 72-41.

LYME/OLD LYME, CT – The Lyme-Old Lyme High School boys basketball team on Tuesday secured a 72-41 victory over Hale-Ray, bringing them to 17-2 overall and 15-1 in the Shoreline Conference.

Eddie Fiske Jr. and Ethan Trepanier led the Wildcats with 17 points each. Oliver Wyman scored 12.  

Lyme-Old Lyme will next face Ellington on Friday at 7 p.m.

Tuesday on the girls’ side, Lyme-Old Lyme fell to Hale-Ray 57-34. Coach Christine Corah said only six players were available, with all of them contributing. 

Hale Ray led 27-10 at halftime before pulling away in the second half.

Sybil Neary led the Wildcats with 12 points, six rebounds, one steal, one block and one assist. Addi Sapia added eight points, three rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Vicky Glaras had four points and eight rebounds, along with two steals, a block and an assist. Reagan Christopher scored five points and had one rebound, one steal and one assist. Emily Bonatti finished with three points, three assists and three rebounds. Olive Vautrain added two points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal.

The Wildcats will host Ellis Tech on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. for Senior Night as the team honors Neary.
