Learn About the Role of AI in Children’s Lives at Virtual Workshop, Feb. 26

LYME/OLD LYME, CT – On Thursday, Feb. 26, at 6:30 p.m., parents and caregivers are invited to attend a free virtual workshop on artificial intelligence as the rapidly evolving phenomenon reshapes education and everyday life.

The AI for Parents program is presented by Lymes’ Youth Service Bureau in collaboration with Lyme-Old Lyme Schools to explore how artificial intelligence is shaping children’s learning and daily lives.

The evening will feature guest speaker Matt Mervis, Director of AI Strategy & Innovation at EdAdvance and co-host of the ChadEDU podcast. Mervis works with schools and organizations to support responsible and practical uses of generative AI.

Topics include:

  • Today’s AI landscape and its impact on students
  • Risks, myths, and safety concerns
  • Ethical and responsible use at home and school
  • Practical tools and resources for families
  • AI’s growing role in education
