Happy New Year!
After a year of big changes at LymeLine, including longtime publisher/editor Olwen Logan’s fond farewell and the creation of the nonprofit LymeLine Inc. to carry on her work, we look ahead with gratitude and excitement to 2026.

After a year of big changes at LymeLine, including longtime publisher/editor Olwen Logan’s fond farewell and the creation of the nonprofit LymeLine Inc. to carry on her work, I look ahead with gratitude and excitement to 2026.
This year has proven that community news isn’t a one-way street. It takes involvement from the people of Lyme and Old Lyme – and beyond – to ensure the continuation of the news source that has served the two towns since 2003.
Put another way, it takes a whole lot of people to replace one Olwen!
I am thankful to our Board of Directors, donors, advertisers and community partners, as well as our volunteer copy editors, photographers and columnists whose belief in local journalism makes this dedicated coverage possible. Most of all, I am grateful to you – the readers who visit our website, open our newsletter, submit comments or letters to the editor, and connect on social media. Your engagement is a reminder why community news matters.
Please join me in looking forward to a new year of thoughtful, independent coverage delivered on an updated website to better serve the community. As always, I welcome your input and insights as we work to ensure LymeLine remains a trusted voice in our community for years to come.
