Lyme Hosts Its Traditional, Yet Still Unofficial, Parade Tomorrow
The traditional, but unofficial, Independence Day parade in Lyme starts tomorrow around 10 a.m. traveling along Cove Rd. and Rte.154.  Started literally decades ago by Dr. William Irving , his wife Esther, and their then young children in response to the absence of any local parades, it has morphed into a major event in this small, normally quiet town. Read More ...

On Saturday, June 14, over 600 shoreline residents braved a rainy evening to attend an outdoor concert by the New Haven Symphony Orchestra on the banks of the Connecticut River in Essex.  “Symphony in the Meadows 2008” netted a record $190,000, and the proceeds will provide critical operational and scholarship funding in support of the programs and participants at High Hopes Therapeutic Riding Inc. Read More ...
