Chamber Welcomes High-Speed Train Route Activist as Speaker at Tonight’s Dinner Meeting

Greg Stroud

Join members of the Lyme-Old Lyme Chamber of Commerce at their first Dinner Meeting of the year at The Hideaway Restaurant on Wednesday, Sept. 20. All members, prospective members (and other interested parties) are welcome.

Cocktails and business networking begin at 6 p.m., with three-course dinner starting at 7 p.m. Cost is $25.00.

The guest speaker is Gregory Stroud, Director of Special Projects at the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation, and co-founder of SECoast. He will provide a short update on the favorable NEC Future Record of Decision regarding the proposed high-speed railroad track, what we’ve accomplished as a community over the last 16 months, and what’s left to be done in the years ahead. There will be an opportunity for what it is hoped will be a lively question and answer, as well as some well-earned celebration.

New members can join the Chamber and current members can renew at the meeting. Annual membership is still only $50, payable to Lyme-Old Lyme Chamber of Commerce.

Seating is limited. Make a dinner reservation at the Chamber website or by email to email@lolcc.com.
